Map and Compass Workshop

Join us as we host a 4-hour navigation workshop where you'll dive into the fascinating world of orienteering. This interactive course is designed to teach beginners the basics of finding their way through unfamiliar areas by way of a map and compass. By the end of this fun-filled workshop, you'll leave with the confidence to navigate various environments. Whether you're a seasoned adventurer or simply want to explore your local surroundings, this course will help you become a skilled navigator. 

Workshop Details:

What to Bring? 

• Bring a notepad and pencil (you will want to take notes!)
• Bring a folding camp-type chair (for field activities)
• Bring appropriate outdoor clothing ( Dress for the weather and wear proper hiking boots/shoes.)
• Bring a positive attitude! (Creating a lively and enthusiastic learning environment is our goal, where everyone can have fun and feel safe. We kindly request you arrive with a positive and enthusiastic mindset, as it will help us in our mission to deliver an exceptional learning experience for all participants...Thank YOU!)

• Baseplate Orienteering Compass
